Rockler adds another superstore to the fold

Late this last summer Rockler opened their first SuperstoreRockler demonstration area about 5 miles from me in Minnesota. Now they are almost finished with their second and this time it’s in the pacific north west. The Seattle location is opening mid-December and it is going to be a huge hit. I’ve been to the Maplewood store many times already and it’s like a toy store for adults. Just the smell of wood when I walk through the door is enough to make my wallet jump out of my back pocket. Better than any toy store I’ve ever seen. If you live in the greater Seattle area be sure to check out this new location at 832 NE Northgate Way opening in mid-December. You won’t be disappointed. The demonstration area alone is worth multiple trips. As a newer woodworker I’ve learned so much by just dropping in for demonstrations, YouTube has nothing on live demos.

ROCKLER TO OPEN SECOND SUPERSTORE IN SEATTLE
Focus is on state-of-the-art, demonstration/learning facilities
and expanded product selections

Medina, MN (October 22, 2013) – Rockler Woodworking and Hardware recently opened its
first, state-of-the-art, flagship or “superstore” in the Twin Cities [Maplewood] and has just
announced plans to open a second superstore in Seattle, WA, in mid-December. The new Twin
Cities facility boasts over 11,000 square feet of retail space, making it the largest Rockler
retail store in the nation. The Seattle location will have almost 9,000 square feet. Both stores
incorporate a large, state-of-the-art, glass-enclosed demonstration area along with widely
expanded DIY product selections. Both features are hallmarks of the greatly expanded
customer-centric offerings of Rockler’s new superstores.

“Our new, customer-focused facilities are Rockler’s largest and most ambitious stores yet,”
says Ann Rockler Jackson, President and CEO of Rockler Woodworking and Hardware. “They
give customers even more product choices, personalized service and rewarding educational
experiences.” Jackson concludes, “With both of these new flagship stores, we’ll be able to
better reach out and help every level of customer, from the expert woodworker to the new
DIYer.”
