DEWALT Launches New Miter Stands and Accessories

DEWALT® Launches Four New Miter Saw Stands and a Line of Miter Saw Stand Accessories

Today DEWALT introduced 4 new miter saw stands and a line of miter saw stand accessories. The new line of miter saw stands will allow users to choose on that fits their needs best.

“Our new miter saw stands are lightweight and easy to transport, but they are durable enough to withstand professional jobsite conditions,” said Rafe Bennett, director of product marketing, D EWALT. “For years, we’ve held a leadership position in the miter saw category and users have turned to D EWALT miter saws because they are reliable, accurate and produce desired results consistently. Now we’re excited to bring the latest innovation to the miter saw stand category and expand on the solutions we can offer professional contractors.”

Heavy Duty Miter Saw Stand

Weighing only 35 pounds, the DWX723 has a max capacity of 500 pounds. The unit features a 5-1/2 foot main beam with extensions that can support up to 16 feet of material and an extended length of up to 150 inches. Extension lock levers allow for easy, secure locking of the support extensions in addition to impact resistance. Folding legs enable compact storage.

The miter saw mounting brackets—which are universally compatible with all brands of miter saws—are also quick release, allowing the user to position the saw anywhere along the rail, remove the saw for easy transport, or even have multiple saws on the rail at once. The material supports are fully adjustable along the rail and up and down to accommodate all saws and material lengths; they have built in flip-up material cut stops.

The Heavy Duty Miter Saw Stand is available at home centers and independent distributors for approximately $199.

Compact Miter Saw Stand

The DWX724 is designed for contractors who are looking for a more compact solution and do not need the level of material support that the DWX723 provides. Weighing only 30 pounds and measuring less than 4 feet long when folded, the DWX724 is portable and conveniently fits sideways in a truck bed for transport. This stand offers up to 100 inches of support and a max capacity of 500 pounds.

Similar to the DWX723, the Compact Miter Saw Stand includes universally compatible brackets with quick release and fully adjustable material supports. Additionally, this stand has 29-inch extensions that make the stand 100 inches wide when extended and can easily support up to 10 feet of material.

The DWX724 is available through independent distributors for approximately $179.

Heavy Duty Work Stands

Designed for users who are looking for versatility and durability in a work stand, the DWX725 and DWX725B offer contractors more features than traditional sawhorses. Although the two stands are the same, the DWX725B includes universal miter saw mounting brackets while the DWX725 does not. The stands are 36 inches wide and have a max capacity of 1,000 pounds each. The DWX725 is only three feet long when folded and weighs 15 pounds for easy transport and compact storage. At 17 pounds including brackets, the DWX725B is also compact and convenient to transport and store.

Made of steel and aluminum, these two stands are durable enough to withstand the toughest jobsite conditions. Contractors can easily mount two-by-fours to the tops of these stands for sacrificial or no-mar surfaces and can also use them with the compatible DEWALT Track Saw Clamp (DWS5026).

The DWX725 and DWX725B are available at independent distributors and home centers for approximately $89 and $119 respectively.

Stand Accessories

In addition to the four new stands, DEWALT is also launching a new line of work stand accessories that will allow users to meet their jobsite needs based on material and application.

The Miter Saw Mounting Brackets (DW7231) offer flexibility on the jobsite, allow contractors to secure multiple saws to the rail, and are compatible with all DEWALT work stands and miter saw stands. The Material Supports (DW7232) that come with the Heavy Duty and Compact Miter Saw Stands are fully adjustable and feature flip-up cut stops.

The Extension Arm Support (DW7028) offers solid support even at the extreme end of the extension and under heavy loads, and the Carry Strap (DW7026) works with any DEWALT work stand to aid in portability. While the Roller Work Support (DW7027) has a wide support that allows materials to move back and forth, the Wide Work Support with flip up cut stop (DW7029) is nearly twice as wide as the standard work stands for greater support capacity.

All of the accessories will be available in April 2011. The work stands and accessories will come with a three-year limited warranty, one-year free service contract and 90-day money-back guarantee. For more information visit: http://dewalt.com/Home.aspx.
