DEWALT Launches New Jobsite Radio/Charger for 12V and 20V Batteries

DEWALT DCR015 RadioWe’ve been waiting to see his new radio for some time. This latest addition is similar to the older model DC012 which used the old pod style 18 volt batteries.

The new DCR015 has been redesigned to work with DEWALT’s new lineup of 12V MAX and 20V MAX  battery  slide packs.

“Following the launch of our drills, impacts and saws, the Charger Radio was the next critical product to give our users the DEWALT experience as we continue to expand our 12V MAX and 20V MAX Platforms,” said Todd Plajzer, product manager, DEWALT. “This unit provides a convenient charging solution for our 12V MAX and 20V MAX battery lines packaged in a durable, versatile radio with a full range of sound.”

Radio / Charger Features

  • 360 degree roll cage with shock absorbers
  • Integrated battery charger for both the 12V MAX and 20V MAX Slide Packs
  • Device Storage Box with AUX and USB ports
  • 2 AC power outlets
  • Radio will run off either a 12V or 20V battery when disconnected from AC power
  • The USB port can charge USB compatible electronic devices when the radio is plugged into an AC power source

Availability

The new DEWALT DCR015 will be available in distribution starting April 1, 2013. The radio will retail for approximately $179
