Jot Spot Erasable Writing Tablet

Tablet TapeJot Spot

The folks at Tablet Tape recently sent me a few of their peel and stick Jot Spots to review.   I first saw this innovative product at the 2011 Build Boston event.  I met the owner and inventor Mike Cannata who took the time to show me his product.

What’s a Jot Spot?

A Jot Spot is an erasable writing tablet that you adhere to your favorite tape measure.    Simply peel off the removable backing and stick the Jot Spot onto you tape measure and apply firm pressure.  Once it’s on , it stays on.

The Jot Spot self sticking adhesion on my tape measures was impressive.  Five minutes after applying the Jot Spot to my tape measure I was unable to remove it by hand.  In fact as I’m typing this, my finger nail is still sore from trying.

What I like the most about Jot Spot:

Unlike it’s bigger brother the Tablet Tape, the Jot spot allows me to use my own tape measure.  Using the Jot Spot erasable writing tablets on the job site means that I no longer have to use scrap blocks of wood or incessantly have to repeat measurements as I’m walking back to the saw.

The Jot Spot is designed to be used with a graphite pencil or a dry erase marker.   Simply write down your measurement or note and then wipe it off with your thumb.  It’s that simple.

The Jot Spot erasable writing tablet is an innovative product and I liked it.

Trying to order the Jot spot for my husband for Christmas. Went to the jot spot web site and it will not let me complete my order. Also on the bottom of the add, Mike Cannata states feel free to contact company. Ther is no contact information. I understand the site is under construction, but you should not be able to view and try and order if the site is not up and running. False advertising, the site is on the show I want that. It there any where else I can order this item?

Deborah, Sorry to hear you’re having trouble ordering one. We are not affiliated with them in anyway. It doesn’t even appear that their Facebook Page is active anymore. WIsh I had better news.
