MAX BITE Open-End Grip

With 25% more torque than smooth-faced wrenches, the MAX BITE Open-End Grip enhances the wrench’s grip on nuts and bolts. This feature grabs the nuts and bolts and reduces the chance of slipping off the fastener and busting your knuckles or stripping it down making it unable to extract.

Ratcheting Flex Head

With 144 ratcheting positions, these flex head combination wrenches allow you to work in incredibly small spaces. You have greater accessibility in challenging-to-reach regions because of the flex head’s full 90° tilting on either side of the wrench.

2.5° Arc Swing

What is an arc swing? Arc swing is the degree to which the handle has to move in order for the ratchet to engage. The majority of ratchet wrenches arc swing is between 3.0° and 5.0°. These wrenches engage at only 2.5° making them incredibly versatile in tight areas. As you can see in this diagram the amount of space needed to get the ratchet to engage is very small. We saw this first hand at the Milwaukee Pipeline event last month!

Ink Filled Markings

Another great feature of these wrenches is they have ink-filled markings which make ID’ing incredibly easy. They are chrome finished and when hit at the right light, glare can obstruct reading the markings.

Overall Impressions

One thing my dad always told me growing up was there was always a need for a good wrench set. No truer statement! Having a flex head ratcheting combination wrench set is a great option for your nuts and bolts fastening! These wrenches do come with a hefty price tag though. Each one of these sets will run you $299.99. True, there are less expensive ones on the market, we believe you will not find ones with 144 ratcheting positions, 2.5° arc swing, flex head, and great markings for cheaper.
