HART 2-Inch CinchTight Clamp

HART 2-Inch CinchTight Clamp, HRC0201 Review

We recently got our hands on the new HART 2-Inch CinchTight Clamp.  Hand clamps are versatile tools that serve to temporarily hold work securely in place.  Carpenters, woodworkers, furniture makers, welders, and other construction related contractors rely on clamps to fasten, glue, repair and assemble their projects.

Clamp styles include c-clamps, bar clamps, pipe clamps, hand clamps and spring clamps.  Spring and hands clamps have become popular because they allow one-handed and quick release / adjust operation.  Up until now spring clamps were never considered to have adjustable clamping pressure, the CinchTight Clamp changes that.

What is a CinchTight clamp?

HART designed their new C-clamps with CinchTight technology.  ClinchTight allows you to quickly adjust, clamp on and ratchet tight on any object  within the clamps 2-inch wide  by 3-inch deep clamp jaws.  A quick release lever then allows the user to quickly and easily release the clamping pressure.
Once clamped on you can tighten these clamps to provide up to 50-pounds of clamping pressure.
A lanyard type opening at the end of the handle allows you to attach rope which is useful for securing items.   HART calls this feature  “Rope Cleat” and its a great way to secure or batten down tarps with the convenience of a quick release feature.
