Bosch Power Tools Show Off at World of Concrete

World of Concrete 2013 – Las Vegas

Bosch at World of Concrete 2013

If you work in the construction industry and you’ve never been to the World of Concrete (WOC) then you’ve been really missing out. One of the reasons I love this trade show so much is the massive size of the outdoor exhibits. Sure its’ nice being outside in January enjoying 75 degree weather, but I like being able to pick up power tools and use them. This year I attended the show with Assistant Editor Rob Robillard. Together we spent the day checking out some exciting new products from Bosch Power Tools.

Before we get into the specifics why not check out a fun video we made highlighting out day at World of Concrete, 2013.

PB120 12V Compact Radio

Our first stop at Bosch was an introduction to their new PB120 12 volt radio. Unlike their large counterpart the PB120 is a very compact radio that runs on either their 12 volt battery platform or standard A/C power.

Bosch PB120 Radio

As you can see it’s a handsome radio filled with some great features. What I really like is how the radio has been fully  incorporated into the new L-Boxx system. For a sneak peak at this fun new radio check out Rob’s interview with Jason Feldner shown below.

RHH181 18V Cordless Next-Generation SDS-plus Rotary Hammer

Bosch also introduced their Next-Generation SDS-Plus Rotary Hammer drill, the RHH181. This was one of the highlights from the show and proves that cordless power tools are finally strong enough, powerful enough, and reliable enough to finally cut the cord. No so sure? Well take a look at the interview I did with Jason Feldner from Bosch about this exciting new SDS Drill.

4.0 Ah and 2.0 Ah 18 Volt Batteries with Cool Pack Technology

Batteries continue to develop and support the “cut the cord” movement. The latest innovation from Bosch includes their 4.0 Ah and 2.0 Ah battery packs. These packs provide significant improvements in run-time with the same exact size battery pack. This latest release also includes their all new Cool Pack Technology that’s designed to improve battery life. Rob interviewed Jason again about these impressive new battery packs.

Stay tuned as we get samples of these new products and get them tested. As always we’ll bring you detailed reviews and our thoughts on how they stack up on the jobsite and in the shop.
