RIDGID 4.5 Gallon ProPack Wet/Dry Vacuum

RIDGID 4500RV ProPack Vacuum Review

The RIDGID 4.5 Gallon ProPack Wet/Dry Vacuum looks a lot like a toolbox and carries like one too. It is a 5 HP, 46 CFM, 120V, corded vacuum. This vacuum has a 4.5-gallon capacity

First Impression

The toolbox design is excellent portability and storage, making it ideal as a portable vacuum. The flat-top provides an easy way to store and stack this vacuum. This vac easily stores on our van tool shelves, which is a plus.

We had to remind ourselves that this vacuum is not a large shop vac and is best used for smaller clean-ups, as it does have as much suction as we thought it would considering the fact that it is a plug-in vacuum.

We liked the large, red power button.

Cartridge Filter

The filter is easily applied and stays on. The filter does a great job at capturing dust and keeping it in the vacuum. We noticed that when vacuuming drywall dust there was nothing observed coming out of the exhaust port. The filter did a great job containing that fine particulate dust.

Accessory Storage

The RIDGID vacuum has storage compartments that keep hose, wands, 20 ft. power cord, and accessories organized and easily accessible. We found accessing the compartments holding the vacuum accessories was easy. The side storage lid covers and storage space are super convenient and generous with space.

A 1- 7/8 in. diameter flexible locking hose expands from 2 ft. to 7 ft. and stays securely clipped into the vacuum body when outstretched. We noticed that this hose is constructed out of good quality materials and is super flexible.

Filter and Blower

The vacuum hose can be attached to the exhaust port for the blowing capability to blow out or clean off surfaces.  The Qwik Lock filter fastening system is easily activated and allows easy, quick, and tool-free filter installation/removal.
