Laser-focused on product innovation and getting it right the first time, Milwaukee Tools recently unveiled their new M18 Fuel 3″ x 18″ Cordless Belt Sander at their 2022 Pipeline Event.

Milwaukee Tool continues to provide battery-powered solutions to replace traditionally corded products. The new M18 FUEL™ Belt Sander offers professional carpenters and remodelers the most powerful, and versatile cordless belt sander to assist in the job site material removal process.

As one of the last corded tools on the jobsite, we wanted to make sure that our belt sander would be a replacement for corded power, not an alternative. – Tyson Apfelbeck, Vice President of Product Management for Milwaukee Tool.

The adjustable front handle, which allows for flush sanding against the sander’s front and provides a more compact size for storage, is a welcome feature. Without an adjustable handle, it was impossible to get flush into the stair treads while the handle was in the forward position.

To adjust the handle, there is a lever that is recessed in the handle. Lift the lever and move the handle to the desired spot. Push the lever down and start sanding.

Generating Corded Power

The Milwaukee M18 Belt Sander removes material more quickly and efficiently while producing more than 80% less dust than an 8A corded belt sander. In addition to providing the best-in-class belt speed at 1350 SFM with less bog down under load for more aggressive material removal, the POWERSTATE Brushless Motor and REDLINK PLUS intelligence also assure protection from overload, overheating, and over-discharge. The M18 REDLITHIUM High Output HO6.0 battery which is not included offers unmatched power and all-day run-time to handle the most demanding applications on the job site.

Well Done Milwaukee

We are happy that Milwaukee continues its focus on the remodeling/carpentry trades.  They have been able to offer corded power in this cordless tool. The M18 FUEL Cordless Belt Sander will run you $279.00 with no battery. We can not wait to see what Milwaukee has in the works for their August 2022 Pipeline event.
