Ryobi Cordless Vacuum – 18-Volt ONE+ 6 Gal. Cordless Wet/Dry
Ryobi Cordless Vacuum – 18-Volt ONE+ 6 Gal. Cordless Wet/Dry
Ryobi earlier this year Ryobi introduced a couple of Cordless Wet-Dry Vacuums into their always expanding One + line. We recently looked at the 18V ONE+™ 6 GAL. CORDLESS WET/DRY VACUUM, Model #P770. Having a tool like the Ryobi cordless vacuum makes clean-up easier, and quicker on handyman and punch list jobs. Think about how much time you save with a small cordless wet/dry vacuum like this! It’s more versatile and lighter, which makes it easier to go in clean up and not have to drag around a corded vacuum. Huge time saver!
Features
One of the GREATEST features this vacuum has multi-size wheels design that help prevent tipping when dragging it along during a clean-up and 360-degree mobility.
This feature makes it easy to roll over extension cords and thresholds. Other excellent features in the P770 that are the on-board accessory storage. Bungee-style cords hold your crevice tool, floor nozzle and extension wands (all included with the purchase). The hose dock provides an easy but simple way to store the hose when not in use. Multiple carrying handles and an easy to change filter cartridge round the great features on the Ryobi 6-gallon cordless wet/dry vacuum.

In Use
We used the P770 for everything such as basic shop clean up to vacuuming debris out of metal track on a commercial bathroom renovation before we closed the walls. The Ryobi 6-gallon Wet/Dry Vac did not disappoint. It was able to pick-up everything from wire cut-offs and sheetrock crumbles to fine dust.
The 1-7/8″ diameter hose is durable and didn’t clog easily with debris and sawdust. Storage of the hose and attachments on the P770 is easy with the bungee cords built into the unit.
The filter is easy to change and effective just by opening the 4 latches and pulling it straight up, contrary to other wet/dry vacs the filter sits on the base the vacuum not the under the lid. On average with a P104 4ah battery we got 12-15 minutes of run time which was just enough for the tasks we were doing. The convenience and portability of cordless made this handy after the family vacation for a quick clean-up of the family car.
Improvements
Is there room for improvements, YES! First, if Ryobi was to make the P770 with their HYBRID technology, therefore allowing the wet/dry vacuum to work either with any Ryobi 18V ONE+ battery or on electric power with an extension cord you would never have to worry about the battery life. Secondly make the hose expandable and a little more flexible, the hose is very stiff.
In the End….
The bottom line, the P770 cordless wet/dry vacuum has plenty of power and offers us a really great lightweight/portable solution for dealing with dust and cleanups on the job. If you do small jobs, punch list work, etc, therefore this is an excellent option that will certainly lighten the load and speed up your cleanup. It comes with a 3 Year Warranty and is priced at $99 as a bare tool.
