I still have fence damage and a shed to replace after a 75′ oak fell during hurricane Sandy. This Rigid kit would make the task go a lot quicker.

I would use the RIDGID 18-Volt X4 Hyper Lithium-Ion Cordless Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit on numerous aspects on home DIY projects, especially for finishing my basement which I am doing now. The radio would give me some nice tunes to listen to while working.

  13. I would use it to finish the gazebo we’re building off the back deck.

I’ve been a newsletter subscriber for quite some time.

I’m a professional handyman, so I’d use these tools daily for dozens of tasks. Impact drivers are addictive- lots of driving force for screws in a small, ergonomic package with little recoil- as is, they’re great for newbies, and once you really learn how to use them, they’re very, very controllable, more so than the usual torque-control drill-driver. I have two, cuz I don’t ever want to be without one. Hammer drills are for heavier work- large holes (Forstners, hole saws)and drilling concrete, plus any bit that doesn’t have a 1/4″ hex drive. Also mixing paint and drywall mud.

Li-ion batteries are a must for any modern cordless tool- more stored power per pound and size, don’t discharge in your toolbox like NiCad, so they’re ready when you need them. And Ridgid’s lifetime battery deal means you don’t have to worry about them going bad.

The radio would make life on the job more pleasant- we can all use that.

And, no, I don’t work for the BigOrangeBox- at the moment,I have Makitas that I really like, but when they die, I’m going for Ridgid.

  15. I could stop borrowing my son’s and have my own.

Would be very useful while rebuilding my deck and also finishing my basement

I would give these to my dad so we can finally upgrade him from the 8 year old, well used PC nicad set.

The newsletter link did not work however, I will try again in a few days and see if you’ve fixed it.

I’m looking to finish my basement and these tools could prove very useful.

This kit would come in handy in multiple ways. My wife just talked me into installing tile in our main bathroom. There are always projects that need to be done around the house and my wife has a way of finding them. I also do handyman work on the side when I’m not at my regular job (HVAC technician). I already have been subscribed to your newsletter.

  20. 2013 summer project, building a new tool shed. If it ever stops raining! Some crazy weather, last year at this time we were bone dry, now we might be receiving record flooding. Looks like we will be heading back out to do some more sandbagging. This just might come close to the 1993 levels. Received 2 more inches last night with rain continuing now through Saturday. Poor farmers just can’t catch a break.
