NEW Senco 16 Gauge Fusion Cordless Pneumatic Nailers

New F-16 Senco Finish NailersSenco 16 Gauge Fusion Cordless Pneumatic Nailers

Fifteen years ago I bought  my very first pneumatic nailers. They were Senco brand framing and finish nailers. Those nailers saved me a lot of time and money – I eventually gave them away – still in great working order.

Since those days nailers have come along way in weight, performance and reliability.

Senco, has continued to stay on the leading edge of nailer technology and recently adding two 16 gauge tools to its Fusion™ line of cordless pneumatic nailers.

What is Fusion?

Fusion technology uses an 18V Lithium-ion battery, to power a self-contained compressed air cylinder [130psi] to drive a fastener.

When the trigger is pulled, a piston is forced down into the nail to drive it. The Li-ion battery’s only function is to power the small motor that returns the piston to the ready position to drive the next fastener. The air pressure is pre-set at the factory, permanently sealed and never needs recharging.

The new F-16 drives up to 500 nails per full battery charge. It is available in either a straight (Model F-16S) or a 20-degree angled version (Model F-16A), and comes equipped with one battery, a charger and a rugged canvas carrying case.

Fusion combines both features of cordless and pneumatic technologies. The patented Reflex Shot design delivers an instant trigger response, eliminating the charging up time associated cordless nailers.

Fusion also saves you time and money because it does NOT use fuel cells! No more running ourt of fuel cells in the middle of a job or having to break down the tool to clean it.

The Fusion weighs 6 pounds which is lighter than other competitive battery powered models. Not quite as light as my gas powered nailer.

A tool-free adjustable depth-of-drive feature combined with the nose mounted LED work surface light is a nice touch.

Fusion cordless pneumatic nailers are available from SENCO dealers nationwide.

MSRP is $399.
