Milwaukee M12 FUEL™ HACKZALL® Preview

Milwaukee Expands Popular M12 FUEL Lineup

As I noted earlier this year, Milwaukee has impressed me more than any other tool company in the last year and that’s largely due to their M12 and M18 FUEL line of cordless tools. Today they announced another 12 volt tool to the platform with their M12 FUEL™ HACKZALL®. Read on to learn about this cool new product!

Milwaukee® Redefines 12V Cutting Performance

MILWAUKEE, WI – Milwaukee Tool continues to expand its award-winning FUEL™ offering with the introduction of the industry’s most powerful 12V Reciprocating Saw. Delivering over 4X more run time, up to 70% faster cutting and 6X longer tool life, the M12 FUEL™ HACKZALL® recip saw has a compact, lightweight design for one-handed operation in tight spaces, and features reduced vibration for increased control and accuracy.

As with all M12 FUEL™ products, the new HACKZALL® delivers unmatched power, run-time and durability with three Milwaukee®-exclusive innovations-the POWERSTATE™ Brushless Motor, REDLITHIUM™ XC4.0 Battery Pack and REDLINK PLUS™ Intelligence Hardware and Software.

The POWERSTATE™ Brushless Motor works harder, lives longer, and converts energy into power more efficiently, giving the M12 FUEL™ HACKZALL® the ability to deliver 70% faster cutting with more power under load than some 18V recip saws.

“This increased performance opens up an application range that 12V recips have not been able to perform in the past,” says Tom Simeone, Group Product Manager for Milwaukee Tool Corporation. “It will handle some of the more challenging cuts in which users would have once had to switch to an 18V tool, such as cuts through dimensional lumber.”

REDLINK PLUS™ Intelligence hardware and software is the most advanced electronic system on the market. It integrates full-circle communication between tool, battery and charger to protect them from overloading, overheating, and over-discharging. These protections help maintain ideal conditions for maximum application performance. Coupled with aggressive gearing and the POWERSTATE™ Brushless Motor, these electronics help the tool deliver the extreme power under load that users will experience.

Powered by Milwaukee REDLITHIUM™ XC4.0 batteries, the M12 FUEL™ HACKZALL® delivers over 4X more cuts per charge than competitive recip saws.  With Milwaukee® durability built into each pack, the REDLITHIUM™ XC4.0 battery delivers best-in-class performance in extreme job-site conditions, operating cooler and performing in climates below 0°F/-18°C with fade free power. A battery fuel gauge also displays remaining charge for less down time on the job.

The M12 FUEL™ HACKZALL® also lives up to Milwaukee’s legendary durability with an all-metal gear case and dual gear design. With the combination of this mechanism, the POWERSTATE brushless motor and REDLINK PLUS intelligence, the new tool provides up to 6X longer life than competitive units.

Available in May of 2014, the new M12 FUEL™ HACKZALL® Recip Saw is a true testament to Milwaukee’s focus on the user and investment in game changing technology. For more information on M12 FUEL™, please visit http://www.milwaukeetool.com/system/m12-fuel.
