Milwaukee® Expands FUEL™ Line to Include M12™ Products

MILWAUKEE, WI – Milwaukee Tool continues to revolutionize cordless power tools and expand the industry’s largest sub-compact battery system with the introduction of M12 FUEL™ – an exclusive line of extreme-performance cordless power tools within the M12™ System designed, engineered and built by Milwaukee® to take 12V to the next level of performance and durability.

The M12 FUEL™ line will include six unique drilling and fastening tools that all integrate Milwaukee’s exclusive POWERSTATE™ brushless motor, REDLINK PLUS™ intelligence and brand new REDLITHIUM™ 2.0 battery pack to deliver tools that will out run many compact 18V tools on the market today. M12 Fuel™ Drills will include a 2-Speed Screwdriver, Drill/Driver, and Hammer Drill/Driver.  The M12 FUEL™ Impact offering will include a ¼” Hex Impact Driver, ¼” Square Impact Wrench, and 3/8” Square Impact Wrench.

The new POWERSTATE™ brushless motor works harder and lives longer than all leading competitors, while reducing noise and cooling more rapidly to deliver years of maintenance-free performance. Milwaukee POWERSTATE™ brushless motors convert energy into power and torque more efficiently resulting in superior application performance. REDLINK PLUS™ Intelligence hardware and software is the world’s most advanced system of cordless power tool electronics that will maximize performance and protect the user’s investment.  REDLINK PLUS™ Intelligence is a best-in-class system that integrates full-circle communication between tool, battery and charger, and constantly monitors this internal network to maintain ideal conditions.

The new Milwaukee REDLITHIUM™ 2.0 batteries provide up to 2X more run-time, 20% more power and 2X more recharges than standard Lithium-Ion batteries. REDLITHIUM™ 2.0 also delivers best-in-class performance in extreme job-site conditions.  With Milwaukee® durability built into each pack, the REDLITHIUM™ 2.0 battery operates cooler and performs in climates below 0°F/-18°C with fade free power.

Available this winter, the new M12 FUEL™ products are a true testament to Milwaukee’s focus on the user and investing in game changing technology. Get the latest information and updates on Milwaukee FUEL™ products at www.milwaukeetool.com/fuel and www.milwaukeetool.com/brushless.

I bought a milwaukee fuel 1\2 inch impact wrench and fuel drill neither work outside in wet weather very disappointed.
The older Milwaukee brush impact wrench works perfect in wet weather.

Jerome – I’m not aware of any issues using these tools outside in wet weather. Can you be more specific and I’ll reach out to Milwaukee to see if I can get some feedback from them.

    Thanks Todd
I bought the fuel set 1\2 inch impact wrench and drill.
I also bought the 1\2 inch impact wrench with brushes the same day.
The fuel impact wrench stopped working after 3 days work. The light would come on but motor would not work.I left it overnight in drying room but the next morning it still wouldn’t work so I sent it back and they put a new switch and motor in it and commented that it was in fair condition when they received it.(after 3 days work) fair condition?
I got it back and on the second day it stopped again same problem light would come on but motor stopped.
I left it overnight in a drying room again the next morning it started working again.
The very same problem happened with the drill after being used for the 2nd time.
I left it overnight in drying room and the next morning it worked with OK.
At the same time the impact wrench with the brushes has worked perfectly everyday no issues at all.
This has been reported back to Milwaukee sales rep 2 weeks ago.
Still awaiting a response. Lucky enough I still had my 110v impact wrenches (not Milwaukee) on site to enable us to finish tightening roof purlins. Not at all impressed with milwaukee fuel. I have also heard of others having similar problems.

Jerome – Can you be more specific about the conditions, were you working in pouring rain, you say wet conditions, but what was going on. I can tell you I’ve been using these tools for a couple years and I’ve never had one issue.
