Free Rockler Gift Cards

Rockler giving out gift cards for Black Friday

The Rockler Woodworking and Hardware flyer for their after Thanksgiving sale arrived in the mail the other day and has some pretty decent deals. Featured prominently on the cover was a little box describing that the first 75 people in line would receive a gift card up to $250. Each store will be giving away over $1000 total in cards.

My local Rockler

Unfortunately my closest Rockler is located adjacent to a very large mall. I typically get as far away from malls on that day as possible, usually taking my chainsaw out to the woods collecting firewood. A free Rockler gift card seems poised to change that tradition though.  The allure of free money at my favorite store is too strong a pull for me to stay away this year. I could buy some really nice slabs of exotic wood with $250. Waiting in line may be kind of fun actually. Think of all the other woodworkers you can talk to and share with. What would you do with your free Rockler gift card?

Sorry about the sketchy looking link but it’s the one Rockler posted this link on their Facebook page yesterday (Flash Content):

Did anyone get one? I got in line about 530 AM and it was pretty fun talking with other woodworkers. There was all skill levels from beginners to furniture makers. I got a $5 card but there were a number of larger cards around me. It was snowing with a single digit wind chill. That didn’t keep the woodworkers away. We’re a strange breed indeed!
