Stanley TLM99 Laser Distance Measure & Floor Plan App for Smartphones

Stanley ® announced on December 4th their new Stanley TLM99 Laser Measure with Bluetooth Connectivity and a Floor Plan App that digitally measures and creates floor plans for builders, remodelers, estimators, real estate agents, and do-it-yourself folks.

Floor Plan App

The Floor Plan App  allows you to add objects such as furniture, appliances, windows, doors and more into your floor plan making it a great space planning tool. The App will automatically populate each room with dimensions and square footage calculations. Created floor plans can be saved to a project folder and even be exported to the following formats:

  • pdf
  • jpeg
  • excel
  • dxf files to be printed
  • or imported to other programs

These floor plans can be shared on Facebook, by email, from App user to App user, or sent to stores such as Home Depot.

Stanley TLM99 Laser Distance Measure

This Floor Plan App can be used alone or synched with the Stanley ® TLM99’s Laser Distance Measure with Bluetooth ® – model STHT77343. Measurement can be made with 3/32″ (2mm) accuracy.  Both of these products combined will provide a quick and easy method of creating and measuring floor plans.

This App and LDM combined will definitely be a benefit to remodelers, like myself.  Accurate floor plans helps with creating bids and better communications with customers. With automatic calculations, the LDM makes job estimates quick and easy, instantly calculating square footage, volume and distance.

Keep your eye out on Tool Box Buzz for a review. This item is on its way to our shop and we will be putting it through our normal day to day measuring routine.

How Much and Where to Buy?

The Stanley Floor Application is free to download at the Apple iTunes store and the Google Play Store. The Stanley TLM99 Laser Distance Measure – model STHT77343 is set to be sold in mass retailers, home centers and independent retailers sometime in January of 2015 and will sell for approximately $119.00.
